It’s a big day today for Wales and Under Armour!
Friday 1st July sees the launch of both the Wales Rugby World Cup shirts and the 2011-12 season shirts sponsored by Admiral. We’re always impressed with Under Armour’s technical kit and these new shirts combine some great technical features with a modern design.
The Authentic Home and Away shirts are the tight fitting option designed to be as close as you can get to what the players wear. They’re made from UA’s HeatGear® fabric which is moisture wicking and keeps you cool.
The shirts also feature the new ArmourGrid® technology in the fabric. The best way I can describe it is almost like a rip-stop weave in the shirts. It makes them incredibly tough and allows for very little stretch; in theory making it harder for opposition players to grab.
The Authentic shirts are in stock now priced at £89.99 [adults] for RWC versions and £84.99 for the regular replicas.
The regular Home and Away shirts are also available in RWC and 2011-12 season variations – check the RS website for the full Wales Rugby Word Cup range or all the non-RWC kit.
My personal favourite from the range has to be the Training Shirt:
