Let me just lay it out there at the start: I’m a bit of an Under Armour fan… but let me word it a bit differently.
I like kit that ‘works’. For me, clothing has to be well made, high quality, simple design, functional… stuff that does what it’s supposed to, but does it really well. If it comes in a good strong colour, even better.
So for these reasons, I like Under Armour stuff. It’s always worked well. Don’t get me wrong though; I’m not a blind following fanboy – it’s got to prove its worth. Read more
A pair of the brand new Predator Incurza TRX FG rugby boots from adidas landed in our warehouse last week for a quick sneak-peak ahead of launch next month.
In keeping with Predator tradition, it’s a bit of a technical marvel. Packed with new features and refinements from years of constant development, it would be easy to write a short essay on these rugby boots!
However, adi have a man on hand much more qualified to extol their virtues. Over to you Dan Carter…

We were intrigued, as I’m sure many of you are, by a new product that is making more frequent appearances on the rugby field; Kinesiology Tape.
Used by high profile players like Scotland’s Ruaridh Jackson, Kinesiology Tape can be spotted more and more taping up the legs and shoulders of International players. But what does it actually do?
Kinesiology Tape is a rehabilitative taping technique that can be applied over muscles to reduce pain, reduce inflammation, relax overused muscles and support muscle movement. It’s non-restrictive, allows a full range of movement and works by improving the body’s natural healing process by increasing the blood flow in and around the muscles.
We took the opportunity to experiment with the Tape and made a video explaining how to apply it to a common calf injury. Of course, we had a bit of fun doing it…
The tape itself is a 100% cotton, hypoallergenic, latex free adhesive tape that has the same amount of stretch as human skin. It has a multitude of uses for any painful, inflamed or injured muscles.

For those of you currently using a Trigger Point Grid Roller, this video featuring Saracens Rugby might give you a few more ideas on how to get the best out of it during your rugby training.
For anyone who hasn’t yet bought one, this might convince you that you need one!
